As provincial Grand Master it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Website of the Provincial Grand Lodge of East Lothian & Berwickshire. With 11 Lodges we are a small Province but I can assure you of a warm welcome into any of our Lodges.
All Qualified Members of the Scottish Craft and brethren of Masonic Bodies recognised by the Grand Lodge of Scotland will be made most welcome into our Provincial Grand Lodge and into any of our Lodges within the Province.

Message from the Provincial Grand Master
Brethren of the Province of East Lothian and Berwickshire, I would like to thank you for all the help support and encouragement that you have given and are continuing to give to me and to my Commissioned Office-bearers. We continue to be very fortunate in the number of brethren who accompany us on Provincial visits. I know from speaking with our Right Worshipful Masters that they greatly appreciate being able to welcome into their Lodge a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge which contains in excess of twenty members. I can also assure you that from my own personal viewpoint, it is a very humbling but very pleasing experience to be at the head of such a distinguished deputation of Provincial Office-bearers.
Brethren, within the “Events” section of our Provincial Grand Lodge web-site you will find a record of some of the memorable events which have occurred within our Province. The section “Diary Dates” provides a list of visits and events that we are planning within the Province during the year 2011. I encourage you to visit this section regularly. Our Provincial Grand Lodge will be holding a Lodge of Sorrow to the memory of all members of the Province who have passed to the Grand Lodge Above. This is not an event which takes place very often within a Province. Indeed our last Provincial Grand Lodge of Sorrow was held almost twelve years ago. I would encourage, therefore, all members of our Daughter Lodges within the Province to attend this Ceremonial which will be held within the premises of Lodge Nisbet N° 1112 on Sunday the 7th August 2011. All of our friends from other Provinces and other Constitutions who wish to attend will also be made very welcome.
